San Diego, CA – Independent Financial Group, LLC (IFG) announced today that Mike Acio has been promoted to Vice President of Representative Supervision.
Mike Acio succeeds former Vice President, Andy Vaughn, who has led the Supervision Department for the last 10 years and recently announced his transition to Branch Supervisor. As Vice President of Supervision, Mr. Acio will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Branch Supervision, which includes training, delegating tasks and motivating branch supervision staff to provide outstanding service to advisors. In addition, he will collaborate with other senior managers in creating effective procedures that strategically place IFG within the standards and requirements set forth by regulatory agencies.

He has steadily increased his knowledge of the changes and intricacies of working with our [registered representatives] and has quite a following with the [representative] base,” says Scott Heising, IFG’s Founder and Managing Director. Mr. Acio joined IFG in 2007, spending time on various teams in Supervision, supporting both registered reps as well as other Branch Supervisors. He has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from San Diego State University.
